Our dehumidified facility perfectly maintains 55% relative humidity – the optimum environment for the long-term storage of cars. It prevents corrosion and is the perfect climate for the preservation of chrome, carbon-fibre, leather and plastics.
Before any car is stored with us, we inspect it throughout, record its condition, perform a thorough snow-foam valet and then dry it using our contactless blower. Then the tyres are correctly inflated to prevent flatspots, fluid levels are checked and noted, and final photography is recorded. Only then does your collector car enter our facility, where it is fitted with a smart battery cover and Racing Green branded soft-stretch car cover – sized to your specific vehicle.
For long-term car storage, we also offer the option for clients’ cars to be fitted with a set of TyreDox – the latest in tyre-saving technology which helps prevent flatspots. TyreDox are a set of four tyre cushions, made using rubber from recycled tyres, and they help tyres up to 22inches in diameter and 355mm wide maintain a perfect shape.
We perform daily monitoring and weekly checks through the time a car is stored with us. The team at Racing Green Car Storage regularly rolls the vehicle to help tyres maintain their shape, and every client may choose to have their vehicle driven up to temperature once a month, as our insurance with market-leader Howden covers us for such use on the public road.
And when you’re away for all that time, you can leave us to take care of practical arrangements such as organising an MOT or visit to a marque specialist for work or routine servicing.

The founders are Oliver Hagger and James Mills, a collector and motoring journalist respectively – and car enthusiasts through and through.
For the past three decades, Oliver successfully sailed through the shipbroking industry, co-founding his own brokerage in 2002 and retiring from the global trade in 2022. Over that time, he has enjoyed owning and racing interesting cars in all shapes and sizes.
During the same period, James was an editor for the likes of Top Gear, The Sunday Times Driving, Auto Express and Hagerty. This period provided deep insight into the world of specialist, enthusiast and collector vehicles.

Yes, we provide vehicle collection and delivery services to ensure the safe and convenient transport of your car to and from our facility. A courtesy collection is included for every vehicle (terms apply).
We only ever use our own Brian James Race Transporter 6, a fully-enclosed, tilting tri-axle trailer that is the most generously sized on the market. It is towed by our brand-new Isuzu D-Max.
